UK & Australian Pension Transfers

 

We are very well versed in evaluating options for those with UK and Australian Pensions and who are considering bringing those entitlements to New Zealand.

 

Whilst the Australian opportunity is very recent, we have been very successful in quantifying and transferring UK pensions for over a decade. Most individuals arriving from the UK are aware of the huge under-funding problem that exists over there and are very keen to get their funds under some control and within grasp in NZ.

 

We have a number of options for those needing locked-in options until their qualifying period expires including holding funds in interest-bearing foreign currency accounts.

 

The Australian agreement means that transferring funds must be locked into a KiwiSaver account under NZ’s restricted access rules, however with UK funds it is very dependent upon the length of time away from the UK.
