Bernard Gresham
Bernard holds a BSc. (in Mathematics – 1965) and a BCA (in Economics - 1967) from Victoria University of Wellington. He also has the Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Personal Financial Planning from Massey University - 1997. He held executive positions in the agricultural, transport and local government sectors, and in investment and the oil industry over 25 years prior to commencing as a Financial Planner in 1992.
Bernard’s passion for the delivery of professional financial advice based on the 4 Es – education, examination, ethics and experience – resulted in a major commitment to the professional body and its predecessors.
Bernard is a Past President of the Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) and from 2000-2003 he was a NZ representative on the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB), comprising 17 member countries with headquarters in Denver, Colorado, USA.
Bernard is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER member of the IFA and has satisfied all the requirements for certification and has agreed to abide by the IFA Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. He is licensed to use the CFP certification mark and the marks CFP CM and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER CM with all the rights and privileges pertaining thereto.
Bernard has served in a voluntary capacity on a wide range of community organization over some 40 years including –
Chair of Maungaraki Residents and Ratepayers Association
President of Maungaraki Tennis Club
President of St. Bernard’s College Old Boy’s Association
Chair of Board of Trustees, St. Bernard’s College
The five Gresham children, with spouses and grandchildren, live and work outside New Zealand. Bernard enjoys playing tennis, walking, swimming and gardening.
