Rotary

Our Rutherford Rede advisers have a long and established relationship with Rotary.

Founded in Chicago in 1905 as the world's first service organisation, Rotary quickly expanded around the globe. Rotary now is made up of nearly 33,000 clubs in 200 countries with more than 1.2 million members.

Rotary club members are business and professional leaders who volunteer in their communities, and carry out humanitarian projects to address issues such as poverty, health, hunger, education and the environment.

Phil Ashton is a past-president of Takapuna North Rotary (2006-07) and currently is a District Grant Co-ordinator working for the world’s second largest charitable trust, The Rotary Foundation (TRF). TRF typically raises, approves and allocates funds totalling over $300m annually to global causes especially in the fields of hunger, water and education.

Roy Dykes has been a member of Waikato Sunrise and is currently Club Services Director of Devonport Rotary. He has had annual involvement with the running of the Devonport Food & Wine Festival and last year was part of a team that rebuilt a school in Taveuni, Fiji.
